The Causeway Coast The fame of the Giant's Causeway, Ireland's most famous tourist attraction, with its 40,000 stone columns - one of only three World Heritage Sites in Ireland - has tended to upstage the rest of this marvellous coastline. But the coast of North Antrim and County Londonderry deserves star billing in its own right.

With more than its fair share of Northern Ireland's tourist attractions it provides opportunities for a variety of activity holidays.

Or you can just get away from it all by visiting some of the many havens of tranquillity on its rugged coastline.

Portballintrae  Seacrest apartment enjoys an unsurpassed setting overlooking Portballintrae's picturesque horse-shoe bay with its bustling fishing harbour.

This tiny port is as pretty as a picture. Based here, a team of Belgian divers brought up from a wrecked galleass at the Giant's Causeway the greatest collection of Spanish Armada treasure ever recovered. The gold and silver jewellery is on show at the Ulster Museum in Belfast.

With its splendid sea views and mile-long Bushfoot strand it provides an excellent base for exploring the Causeway Coast on foot or by car. despite its small size the village boasts three excellent restaurants within five minutes' walk of Seacrest.

Bushmills Just a mile inland, this picturesque village is home to the world's oldest whiskey distillery, operating since 1609.

Portstewart, Portrush, Coleraine and Ballycastle These thriving provincial towns provide tourists and shoppers alike with a variety of unique expeditions and are just a half-hour car journey away.
